So this morning we asked God what He had in store today and we thought we were meant to do a podcast today. We wondered if God was speaking to us about sharing our story about Cara (our daughter who passed away in 2010) and talking about the possibility of joy even in the worst moments ❤️ We knew that would be a longer video, so we did a little writing this morning to get ready for that.
We were also waiting for our new broadband being put in the house today – and when the guys arrived I just quickly prayed that they would feel God’s love & peace in our home and that the Holy Spirit would lead our time! There were two guys, but we only got to chat to one of them. He was a lovely guy and we chatted away.
At a point in the chat Neil began a conversation with him, and he just opened right up. They had a great chat and he even shared some really personal things he’d been through that had lead him to go to a local church for a wee while. Unfortunately that hadn’t worked out for him, and now he and his partner don’t go to church anymore.
As he was packing up his stuff to leave I asked him if we could maybe pray with him before he went. He said yes and again was really open in sharing about a painful loss he and his partner had been through. Neil thanked him for sharing with us and encouraged him by telling him about us losing Cara and that we’d felt lead to share that story on the podcast today, and after talking with him we really felt that had been confirmed ❤️
We had the privilege of praying with him, it was an amazing, and really sad, encounter moment this morning – thank You Jesus ❤️
After lunch then, we recorded the podcast which you can access here if you would like to.
God really confirmed to us how important it was to share that podcast today.
