We were chatting on the way home from the bus this morning and Neil was saying he could really do with some encouragement today. I feel the same! We talked about what would feel encouraging to us, and we both feel like finance would be great, or a word from someone who doesn’t know what we’re doing that confirms things. It definitely feels a little harder the last week or so. We fully trust God and believe Him completely – but I guess we’ve been having a harder time trusting ourselves, trusting that what we’ve heard is right or have we got it wrong? When we got home we did our readings and prayed together about today and the way forward.

As we prayed we reminded ourselves who God is and that He wants us to get this right! We remembered that He is kind and good and the most loving, extravagant, generous Father! He is perfect!! (who if you if your son asks for bread would give him a stone – how much more your Father in Heaven!!!) And so we prayed, with faith, that we would walk confidently forward in the ways we feel the Lord has shown us to, and believe that if we have it wrong that He will lovingly show us! So we don’t need to worry, even about whether we’ve got things right or wrong! The Lord knows our hearts are pure and He will keep leading us each step ❤️❤️❤️

Neil then had a brilliant idea – He asked me to go through scripture today and circle all the promises that God has made about who He is, how He provides, His direction, His Kingdom coming etc… Then, as we pray we can be totally confident that what we’re praying circles around isn’t just dependent on what we think we’ve heard – but the words we have will be joined together with what God has already said in the Bible – so we KNOW it’s true ❤️🙌 I feel a lot more encouraged than I did earlier – thank You Lord!! We think we’re going to go to a coffee shop to do some writing and reading later today, just to change our environment up a bit 👍 And we also feel like we should go back to pray around a housing area we’ve been to before again today 🙌

We also have a wee idea that we think we should be documenting our whole journey with this stuff – I know we’re keeping this journal privately, but we think it needs to be a bit more than this – like a resource for people who are trying to follow God’s voice in their everyday lives too! We think if we either write or film our days and maybe put that in a blog resource, as it happens, we can be real and honest about how it looks and feels to walk this out, and that might be helpful for people? We think that’s a God idea?

Well, it turns out that setting up the blog is a much bigger project than we expected 🙈 So it ended up taking up our whole afternoon (& is going to take a few days I think!) We had fun though. We headed to a coffee shop for a little bit of writing and it was fun!
