Well, this is the first entry of this week, but we promise it’s not the 1st thing we’ve done 🤦🏻♀️
Because we were at the leaders day in church on Saturday we decided to take Monday as a day off this week, but then yesterday we needed to help with some family stuff in the morning, and I wasn’t feeling amazingly well, so that ended up being a bit of a quieter one too. Although we did have a meeting with a friend regarding how we might look to take the onehundredyearsproject forward as an established ministry – we need the Lord to bring us clear direction on that though. We also recorded a podcast last night – we decided to let people know about our blog and we talked about pioneering to encourage people who are leading the way into new things for God’s Kingdom 🙌
This morning we were going back down the country a bit, so on the way home we think we’ll stop in Cookstown, Moneymore, and Magherafelt to prayer walk around them.
On the way down in the car we were chatting about what it means for us to be good stewards of theonehundredyearsproject things that the Lord has invited us into. We’re both wanting to be faithful with what God has put in our hands, but we’re asking for wisdom in how we handle those things because we think God has asked us to only move on things as He speaks about them. Neil had listened to an amazing talk yesterday that really impacted him and so we thought we’d listen to that again together on the drive down. It was SO GOOD!!! And it was super timely for us at this part of our journey as he was talking all about thinking with an eternal perspective, and having faith to live the life that God has made available for us! There were so many amazing things in the talk, and we both felt encouraged!
We’ve written about this before, but over the last few weeks in particular we’ve been checking, and double checking, with the Lord about how we’re living and working theonehundredyearsproject. It has felt like a trickier part of walking this journey, and so while we totally trust God, we’ve definitely been realising we don’t always trust ourselves to hear God well, and so we’ve been praying a lot about that! As we listened to the teaching we both felt encouraged to think differently going forward! I think it’s good to check our hearts and motives for why we’re doing things a certain way, but then there comes a point when we have to believe that we might have heard God right about how to do this adventure, and just go for it with confidence! The phrase that has steadied us for this next phase is this;
We’d rather be wrong about chasing God’s promises than correct about our self doubt
Even if we haven’t heard God perfectly on this path we are setting out on, at least we are chasing the things of His kingdom and He is so kind He will correct our direction if we keep our hearts submitted to Him. That’s surely got to be better than doing nothing in case we’ve got it wrong right? 😂
So, from here on in we’re going to go for it with a bit more confidence – not in us, but in Him ❤️🙌

PM…..
Driving back home we stopped to pray around Cookstown. We prayed that the long main street would be filled with God’s presence, like a river flooding through it! And we asked that it would be like an airstrip, sending people all over the world to tell people about Jesus 🙌 We prayed for kids and young people as we walked passed schools – that they would grow up knowing their identity in Jesus, and being taught in ways that grow them in confidence to be who they’ve been designed to be ❤️
From there we drove to Moneymore and again prayed for God’s peace and presence to be so evident there. Praying that people would feel seen and known by God there, and that His creativity would be released in the people of this place, to see His Kingdom come all over!!
As we drove on up we stopped in Magherafelt and set our feet on the ground there! We prayed for God’s presence, for the schools and for the community to be filled by Him! Our map is starting to fill up a little more now.
An encouraging day ❤️😃
Also tonight Neil and our son along with some friends went to watch the Ice Hockey in Belfast where the Belfast Giants won a cup!
