This morning we headed over to Donegal to prayer walk ❤️🙌 As the day panned out we decided Donegal was going to be a 2 trip visit 😃 Before we left our house we prayed about specifically where we should go but we weren’t sure so Neil rang a friend who’s from there to see if he could suggest a few places.
He told us about a place called Grianan of Aileach which is an old fort. He said lots of people have prayed there over the years and he thinks it a really ‘thin place’ so we headed there first. Then he told us about Letterkenny and said it was like the gateway to the rest of Donegal, so definitely worth a prayer visit! He also suggested Donegal Town (which we’re now going to do on our 2nd visit)
When we got to the fort we realised you can actually walk up steps that are built into the walls and walk around the top. So we walked around the full circle praying – God’s been speaking to us so much about Joshua leading the Israelites around the walls of Jericho so it felt very symbolic to be prayer walking around actual fort walls!! We prayed for walls of religion and hatred in our country to be broken down. And we prayed for God’s Kingdom to come and be established in Ireland 🙌 From here we headed on to Letterkenny, with a little stop to ‘set our feet’ in Newtowncunningham.
We really liked Letterkenny 😃 It’s a lovely place. It is huge!! We were really struck by the arts represented there – it was very cool! So we prayed into creativity that would bring glory to God to be released throughout Letterkenny 🙌 We prayed for revival to come, a real outpouring of God’s presence and power through the streets. And we prayed blessing on the businesses, schools and homes in the city.

As we left Letterkenny we stopped to set our feet and pray blessing in Burnfoot and then headed on to Buncrana. As we parked in Buncrana we heard a party happening somewhere which sounded amazing, so we went to find out what was going on 🥳 It turned out to be a football match in ‘Maginn Park’ – we think it might have been a schools cup or something, but the noise, the singing and the celebrations were totally class 🥳😃🎉 We walked the streets around the grounds and prayed, thanking God that He is joy and that celebration is by His design! We prayed that hearts and eyes would be opened to find that true celebrating comes from Him ❤️🙌 Again we prayed for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Buncrana 🙌
Our next stop was a setting our feet moment in Clonmany, then Ballyliffen, and finally Carndonagh, which had a really cool looking chapel ❤️ Then our last stop of today was in Muff. We stopped in for a wee Tank & Skinny’s coffee for the way home ☕️❤️

One of the things that has been so apparent to us is the beauty that God has put in creation. While our ‘job’ on these trips has been to pray it has also been such a worship experience as we have marvelled at all God has done, the people He has created, and the diversity He has created ini our land!
