When a plan doesn’t come together

Well, in a turn-up for the books this week hasn’t quite turned out the way we had planned…….We did record 2 podcasts and one blog, we also had that incredible answer to prayer about finances, but outside of that it’s been a bit of a topsy turvey week. On Tuesday we went to a wedding which was soooooo beautiful ❤️ But I (Janet) ended up with a migraine and so on Wednesday I was a bit out of the game 😩

Yesterday Neil did a bit of writing for church youth stuff while I went and met a friend for a walk and when I came home I read a bit more of Jackie Pullenger’s book, ‘Chasing the Dragon’.
This morning we were walking home from the bus and chatting about how we’ve felt bad that we’ve been a bit all over the place this week when it comes to theonehundredyearsproject and so we thought we’d get time to pray today and see what the Lord has in His heart. Unfortunately that hasn’t really happened – we ended up getting a call to help with some family stuff, so we’re currently sitting in the hospital waiting for tests etc for a member of our family.

However, once we knew we were coming in, I prayed and asked the Lord to lead us through today in the ways He wanted! And the doctor who came to do the checks is a Christian who we know, and we had a great conversation with him which was lovely 😃 I’m reminded again that even when things aren’t going exactly as we planned, God is over all, and He can lead us and meet with us whatever the circumstance. Also, we feel so thankful that we are available to help with family stuff in this season.

We know things will not always look like this in theonehundredyearsproject, so we need to keep our eyes on Jesus and trust that He will keep leading us in the right direction – even when we feel like we’re failing a little bit in ‘doing’ things!
We do feel the next important step for us is to gather a group of people who would be up for joining us going forward as a prayer team, so we are starting to invite a few people into that 👍 And we’ll get a date in the diary for that to begin 😃
