1st Sept……….

Well, it feels like a total age since we’ve properly been writing in this journal! What a summer!! Neil wrote last week explaining what has been going on in our lives with family for the last while which means we’ve had a mix of a summer! The journey with Neil’s Dad was painful and we miss him, but at the same time we had such special family times, both at home and away on holidays ❤️ It truly was a blessed summer, even in the middle of loss ❤️

So here we are at the start of September! Caleb started back to school this morning – it’s so great to see him growing in so many incredible ways! I (Janet) love having times of very little structure, like during summer holidays, but I also then love getting back into rhythms again, so it feels exciting to be here at the beginning of a new school year and jumping back into rhythms with theonehundredyearsproject again 😃🥳 We have been praying about what this autumn might look like for us, and we are feeling the newness of the season. We wonder if the Lord might lead us into some new adventures over the next few weeks and months! We’re excited!

God is definitely doing some things deeply in Neil & me at the minute. He has spoken so clearly to us about who HE is, and how HE wants us to see Him. And we have been trying to step into that with Him throughout this whole journey so far, but, as we’ve shared before, we often find ourselves feeling nervous about how well we are hearing Him. We are growing in confidence in this all, but we definitely aren’t all the way there with it, including, frustratingly, still finding ourselves nervous each month as the credit card needs paid and we don’t have the money to pay it! I say frustratingly because we wonder how long it’s actually going to take us to just rest, knowing that, as He has every single time up until now, God WILL provide everything we need, and so much more! In His kindness, God keeps reminding us that He truly means it when He says that He is our sole provider, they He is leading us in this lifestyle, and that He wants us to keep going on the path He has laid out before us ❤️

So at the beginning of this new year, I want to say out loud again that we surrender all of who we are, all our hopes and dreams, all our everything, to Him – the one and only God, our Lord and Father 🙌 We will keep pursuing Him and following Him into all He has in His heart for this amazing community that He has placed us in, and beyond ❤️🙌

We thought we’d throw a couple of wee summer photos as well as a very grown up Caleb who is heading back for another year of school!
