Walks, Laptops, sickness, football……..another different week!

This has been a bit of a different-paced week for Neil and me! Firstly, on Saturday, Neil and I had an appointment to have Neil’s coffee-filled laptop looked at ☕️😩 As we suspected, it was a total goner 😭 Such a bummer, BUT, without going into all the details, God has totally provided the money for us to be able to replace it 😭❤️🙌 Unbelievable!!!

So, our Monday began with Neil’s new laptop being delivered 🥳 It felt like Christmas in our house 🎄 ❤️ I’ve been feeling a little under the weather this week – nothing major, but it’s ended up with me taking things a bit slower, while Neil’s been a lot busier, mostly sorting admin-type things! Bless him, he is amazing at all of the organized things that need to happen in our lives. I am sooooo spoiled having him – I am not wired for that stuff AT ALL, so I never take it for granted that he does all of that! My boys also got to go to 2 Northern Ireland football matches this week which they totally loved – although they definitely loved the result of the first match more than the second 😬

A couple of days ago, I had a lovely moment of God speaking ❤️ I was out for a wee walk, and one of our friends popped into my head, so I began to pray for them. As I prayed, I thought I should just send a wee text to let them know. We ended up texting back and forth a little and then actually had a wee call and prayed together on the phone. It turns out my friend was having a bit of a hard morning, and so the timing of getting to pray together was perfect! We were both so encouraged by God’s timing and His love – there is no one like Him! The way He cares about little details, and the way He so easily connected us to pray together in perfect timing! God is incredible!

This week was week 2 of Miracle Halls! It came around so quickly from last week! Crazy! Like last week, a couple of the team headed up the street a little bit to chat with people and let them know about Miracle Halls as they passed by. They saw some people they’d chatted with last week, which was great, and they got to meet a few new people too. At the community centre, we got to chat again with the guy we’d met working there last week, which was so good! No one from the community came in again this week, but as a team, we felt encouraged as we chatted and prayed together at the end of the session. We know that obedience to the Lord is what really counts, and so we are all in for keeping turning up unless He tells us to stop ❤️

Neil’s out today meeting up with a couple of different people, and then I’m out this evening meeting someone who would like to chat about some major (fun) life changes that are coming their way soon ❤️😃 We’ve tried a couple of times to record a podcast this week, but we’ve struggled to hear what we should share. However, fresh off the press, we finally recorded one today. With all the busyness of this week, Caleb woke up today with a high temperature and low energy, so it’s been a sofa/duvet day for him, which has meant I wasn’t able to get to everything I needed to sort today. That’s life, right?

So, minus the sickness, it’s been a great wee week, but not a normal rhythm, really!
