Back at it

We had such a lovely wee week off last week, hanging out with family and friends πŸ˜ƒ And it’s great to be back at things again this week! Yesterday we were all up and out early doors again for the school bus (which was still a shock to the system even after only 1 week of sleeping in πŸ˜‚) and after some exercise, we got ready for the week ahead in theonehundredyearsproject!

We had a lunch date with a couple of our amazing friends, and it was, as it always is, so filling and encouraging for us! We’ve talked on here before about the necessity for life giving friends so I won’t repeat myself about that, but every time we invest time in meeting up with friends like these in our lives, we come away so encouraged and so full, emotionally & spiritually! (And in truth we come away physically full too because we almost always meet around food πŸ˜‚)

Yesterday was our first festive toastie of the season πŸŽ„πŸ˜‚β€οΈπŸ₯³

Our afternoon was a lovely chilled out one, getting some home things sorted out which was great πŸ˜ƒ

Today we’ve recorded a couple of different podcasts. I’m away visiting family again next week and so we thought we’d get organised and pre record some videos for while I’m off galavanting in the Californian sunβ˜€οΈπŸ‘ Neil’s just editing the podcasts now, one is available here, and this afternoon is preparing his talk for church which is coming up in a couple of weeks! Bless him, he is soooo good at all that!!

I’m heading out to meet up with my brother for a wee walk and then we need to go and pick up Caleb from play rehearsals. He is working so hard at the minute. His school play is coming up at the end of the month and he is staying after school most days as well as going in on Saturdays to be ready for it. That on top of his football training, matches, and other studies is keeping him busy. πŸ‘

While I am talking about Caleb I want to mention another cool moment we experienced this weekend. For the first time I was leading worship in church, I’ve co-lead before but not lead fully, and guess who was on percussion? CALEB πŸ™Œ It was his first time ever on a worship team and he did so well. It was such a privilege to serve alongside him. Generational Spiritual inheritance is so important to us, it’s what theonehundredyearsproject is born out of! But it’s not just important that the next generations everywhere around us grow up in knowledge of and love for the Lord, but that this happens in our own home too!
