I’m sitting here looking out at a rainy, stormy day, with another weather warning for our wee country! It actually turned out not too bad in our area, thankfully, but we are definitely ready for the rain to go away.

Yesterday morning (Monday), Neil was heading out to meet a friend for breakfast! While he was out, I decided to do a bit more work on my talk that’s coming up next week! I was actually quite encouraged as I wrote! Thank You, Jesus 🙌❤️ I decided last week that, because I find writing for talks difficult, I would try and take a bit of a different approach this time. So I’m writing in short blocks of time and trying to just get the next wee bit of the talk done with each sitting, instead of trying to get it all done and sitting for ages feeling like I’m getting nowhere 🤦🏻‍♀️👍 So far, this seems to be a good way for me to approach it! And yesterday was one of those times when the words seemed to flow out as I wrote, and so instead of feeling a bit stuck, I felt like I made some progress, which was soooo good for my wee head and heart 🥳😂 I’ll keep you posted on how the rest of the process goes 😃

We are also planning to do a short three-part series around Advent for the podcast. We should be recording the first of those tomorrow, and Neil has been working away on that as well as trying to finish the book – I’ve had a read of the latest draft, and it is SO GOOD!!! I’m so excited for it to be totally ready 😃
I’ve been doing this little blog catch-up this morning, and then this afternoon I’m having a wee cuppa with one of my friends before picking Caleb up! And then this evening we’re all heading over to school for an info night about GCSEs!!! I can’t believe we’re at this stage already!!

UPDATE – The GCSE meeting was called off due to the storm – we’ll try again tomorrow!
