Reading, writing, recording

We took last week off because our son was off school for half term πŸ˜ƒ And then jumped back in today πŸ˜ƒ We spent some time praying this morning, asking God what He had in mind for today, and asking for a little encouragement with the way we’re doing this – especially in the area of finances.

I’m reading through Luke at the minute and was really encouraged after praying, to read a couple of passages about provision on mission and about how much God looks after us and loves us…the part where Jesus sends out His disciples and tells them not to bring extra clothes or food or money as they go!! And the passage about the sparrows and the grass and how beautifully they’re dressed and looked after by God, and He loves us so much more than that!! Also the verse of the day was talking about letting the Holy Spirit guide your lives! Thank You Lord!

This morning Neil had had an idea to talk on the podcast about living with long term in mind, so after praying we recorded that πŸ˜ƒ I then had to do a quick run to school with shin pads because our son forgot them πŸ˜‚ And Neil did some writing for church Youth for the next few weeks πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

a little later…..

We’ve just finished lunch (& a wee nap πŸ˜΄πŸ˜‚) and now Neil’s doing a bit more writing and I’m reading more of ‘The Circle Maker’ and then I’m going to do a little thinking and praying around a session we’re sharing at in a couple of weeks at a leaders day in church πŸ˜ƒ So cool reading the Circle Maker today – and it was talking about long term thinking – and the idea that maybe we won’t see the answers to all our prayers in our lifetime, but they might be for future generations πŸ™ŒπŸ˜ What a brilliant encouragement for theonehundredyearsproject!

The author was also reminding us to thank God when prayers don’t get answered or when doors close because God only ever does these things because He has something better in store for us!!! Just keep listening to Him and letting Him lead our lives!!
