This morning we decided that Neil should write a blog post about how he’s been feeling this last week. He was really honest and vulnerable – and full of faith so you can read that here if you haven’t already.
It’s definitely been a bit harder these last couple of weeks to trust that what we think we’ve heard God say is actually what He has said! We think we’re having faith and holding firm to God, we hope we’re being obedient to Him, and we know that we are trusting Him completely ❤️
So while it’s still exciting for me (Janet), it’s also a little scary sometimes!
Yesterday I really began to think we need to actively ask some friends to join us and pray for this journey, and pray with and for us along the way ❤️ So we’ve started to think of a few people we could invite! We’ve seen the verse ‘Be still and know that I Am God’ pop up a bit over the last few days and so as we began to pray this morning we started by stilling our hearts and thoughts and just becoming aware of God’s presence and that truth that He alone is God ❤️ I began to feel really excited! I could see and feel places in our town and surrounding areas, and I felt an expectant excitement for all that the Lord wants to do here! It was so cool because it felt like I was feeling HIS excitement for what He wants to do rather than just my own excitement 🥳❤️ I then saw one of the nicer areas around where we live in my mind and asked why we haven’t gone and prayed circles around there yet? I immediately realised it was because it’s an affluent area and so I just never thought about it 🙈 Sorry Lord!
I also thought we should go back to one of the housing areas we’ve prayed around before and pray another circle around there – I think there’s something special and timely about that place ❤️🙌 So we’ve just finished up a bit of bible reading and Circle Maker reading and now we’re going to head out and pray in those places 👍

PM…
We did head over re prayer walk around the housing area we’d been to before 😃🙌 It definitely feels different than walking around the bigger housing estates in the town. We felt quite conspicuous, and a little watched!! But we just know that that place is bursting to know the love of Jesus and be transformed by God’s extravagant love & power, and so we prayed faith filled prayers for His Kingdom to come and for all other kingdoms to fall ❤️🙌 After lunch we headed to the nice housing area I’d thought about earlier to pray 🙌 We parked at our friends’ house and did a loop from there! As we walked we prayed for freedom! Freedom for people who feel they need to wear a mask in order to keep up appearances ❤️ Freedom for people who are living in secret sin struggles, and freedom from all the fears around trying to keep up with living in an affluent area. We also prayed God’s protection over marriages and families all through that area ❤️
As we walked, we prayed for all the healthcare available around there and for the primary school that is there. We thanked God for the revival in the 1800’s that had started in a primary school in our town with the same name as the one we had just walked passed, and we prayed that it would happen again 🙌 We also prayed for another School on that road and again thanked God so much for the pupils and staff in there – what a special place ❤️ We asked for miracles to come for families there! We prayed for the sports Club as we passed by, we thanked God so much for the positive impact that it’s had on our family over the years, and for the community that is built around it! We prayed that the culture would be one of family and pure community, with God’s Holy Spirit filling the people gathered around it! And we prayed as we walked passed the hospital for all the staff and patients in there to be blessed and for help and healing ❤️
We were struck again by how beautiful a place it is that we live in – even walking along the side of the dual carriageway, there was so much beauty to the side of us ❤️ As we walked back up towards our friends’ house we thanked God for a local church in the area and their heart for the community! We prayed God’s blessings and leading for them ❤️
When we got back to our friends’ house we stopped in for a wee cuppa which was a fab way to finish the day 😃❤️
