We have not been great at keeping up with regular updates in this journal recently after having visitors, being away, etc. Sorry 🤦🏻♀️ So this is us trying to get back into the regular rhythm of writing updates again 🥳👍
Last week was wonderful!! At the beginning of the week, Neil & I had the absolute treat of heading away for a hotel break! It was our Christmas present to each other, and it was such a great opportunity to spend quality time together, eat some wonderful food, and soak in the spa. We had the best time – and the hotel was fully decorated for Christmas, which made it even more perfect🎄🎅🏻🥳❤️
Our wonderful Miracle Halls team ran the ministry while we were away – they are amazing! They shared with us afterwards about 2 separate people who came to talk to them on the street. The first came over to ask for prayer for a family member – we’ve met another member of the same family in other weeks, but this is the first time this person has come over, so that was so encouraging! The second person to come over to the team was asking for prayer for 2 of their neighbors, both of whom need healing miracles in their lives. It is such a privilege to love our community in this way, and it is humbling and so encouraging to see trust beginning to build each time we turn up. We believe that God has incredible dreams over this place, and we are so excited to see how things continue to develop over time ❤️
When we got back home, we worked a little on some writing stuff! Neil’s working so hard on trying to get his book finished, so he got stuck into that and has even sent the first part out to a few people to try and discern more about what God has in store for it. I’ve been asked to speak at our church in a couple of weeks’ time, so I started trying to pull that together. I’ve written on here before about my journey with trying to write talks – the shortened version is that I find it really hard, and so I can find the process of writing quite intimidating😩 But, I don’t ever want fear to be a reason to say ‘no’ to an invitation like this, especially if it might be an invitation from the Lord to step into it, and so here I am, praying a lot and writing away 👍
Then on Friday evening we held our first ever theonehundredyearsproject Christmas get-together with our prayer team ❤️🥳🎄🎅🏻 They are such an amazing bunch of people and as we hung out and just chatted and laughed together, Neil & I were once again blown away by how the Lord has gathered such incredible friends around us for this adventure!
Over the weekend, we had the joy of having my sister and her husband over from England to stay with us! They are preparing for some big changes in their lives at the moment, so it was super special to have this time together before they head into their next adventure (we, of course, popped some family Christmas celebrations into the weekend too 🎄🥳❤️)
Such a brilliant wee week!

(Neil was here too….just out of shot 🤦🏻♀️😂)
