Writing, Praying, and Preparing

This is turning into another busy (& very fun) wee week for us with theonehundredyearsproject 😃 We’ve been doing a lot of writing stuff, some because we’re speaking at the ‘Around The Table’ event this Friday evening, (you can read about that in our post last week) and some because we’re trying to go through some prophetic words that we’ve been given recently and bring them together so we can see more clearly what the Lord is saying to us right now. We find this a super helpful practice – there’s something about reading prophetic words all together that show them more in fullness than just reading them as individual words. Often bringing them all together tells a fuller story of what God is saying ❤️😃

Also at the start of this week we had planned for a theonehundredyearsproject prayer gathering, so we got things ready for that. But as the time got closer to meeting we realised most of our guys weren’t able to make it along to this one so in the end we decided to hold off and just have it next month instead 😃👍 We ended up having a lovely wee catch up cuppa with a couple of our close friends (who are also in our prayer group) and my parents on that evening instead so that was fab ❤️🥳

The next morning I was feeling a bit funny, nothing really wrong, just a bit insecure about how we’re doing things I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sometimes we can feel a bit vulnerable in this journey, and this was one of those moments! So I headed out for a wee prayer walk along the river. It turned out to be an amazing time with the Lord that re-set the tone of my day, and week 🥳🙌 As I walked I was asking the Lord about some things around theonehundredyearsproject and I felt Him ask me to trust His love for me – the exact phrase I heard was ‘bask in His love’. So that’s what I tried to do as I walked along! And I did meet with His love which was so beautiful! And He began to speak to me about being free to enjoy these days and what we’re doing with Him as they are right now! I guess because things aren’t big or established we can sometimes feel a bit like we’re not doing enough or something? It was lovely to meet with God and hear His encouragement to keep going in the way He’s called us to ❤️

When I got home from my walk, Neil & I had a great chat about it all, and it was so fun to discover that at the same time as speaking to me, God had been speaking to Neil about some of the same things at home ❤️😃 I think Neil’s going to write a blog post about some of the things God’s been speaking to us about, so I’ll not go into that in this one 👍

Yesterday afternoon I got to meet up with a great friend for a wee coffee which was great! She is so in love with Jesus, and every time we meet we just can’t help but talk about the Lord and all the wonderful things He’s up to ❤️ It was such a life giving time 😃

This morning Neil is out meeting up with a couple of different people. First he’s having breakfast with a friend – he’s been a great friend for a long time and he is full of faith for God to move in impossible ways in our community!! He encourages us in our faith a lot! Then after that Neil’s heading to meet a guy who is interested in helping us move forward with the book 😃👍 We’re really asking God to give us wisdom about how to move forward in the way He has in His heart so I’m praying that meeting is super helpful for that journey!

This afternoon we have Miracle Halls – so excited for all the Lord is birthing and doing in our community through that!! And then tonight we are hosting our first church small group in our house 😃 I think we’re going to have a lot of fun 🥳🙌

Caleb’s off school for the bank holiday this weekend so we’ll probably take a little time off with him – although he has exams starting when he goes back to school so we won’t be doing too much! But we are speaking at ‘Around The Table’ on Friday evening and Caleb is coming with us so that will be so much fun 🥳 Can’t wait to see what the Lord has in His heart to do in that space 🙌❤️ I’ll write a wee update afterwards!
