I’m sitting on Thursday afternoon, getting ready to wrap up another week with theonehundredyearsproject, and so wanted to write a wee post about this week. I am loving the rhythms that Neil and I have been moving into as this new term has started. I know I said this in my last post, but we’ve been going for walks together after the bus run, and it’s been an incredible way to start the day. It’s giving us space to chat and pray about some things that we’re thinking about and stuff we’re getting ready for, which has been so life giving – I think it’s the best way to start the day ❤️😃

Outside of walking and dreaming, it has definitely been a bit of a ‘writey’ week in our house!! I think I might have said this in another post, but we’re heading over to England in a couple of weeks’ time to speak at a church over there, so Neil is writing a lot at the minute to get ready for that weekend. We’re very excited to go and see what God has in His heart for the church there ❤️🙌

I’ve also been trying to do a bit of writing this week because I’m speaking in our church next weekend. If you’ve read any of my previous posts that have been leading up to me teaching at something, you’ll know this is a bit of an interesting process for me 😂 It’s mostly been going ok I think! I’m excited because I think God has been speaking to me about what He wants to say through the talk – and I’m a little nervous about how to put that all together into something that people will be able to connect with Jesus through! Neil’s been amazing at chatting with me about some ideas for it which has been wonderful ❤️ I’ll keep working on it, and trying not to get sucked in to the tailspin that I can sometimes end up in when I’m getting ready for stuff like this!!

We were also back at Miracle Halls again this week. It was a great wee day, but it was super quiet. The boys up at the top of the road saw a few people they’ve connected with before, but it was just in passing, so no big chats or opportunities to pray this time. And we didn’t have anyone come into the centre this week. BUT – I did have an amazing moment in the morning before heading over to Miracle Halls. I had been meeting a friend in town and in one of the shops we went in to I saw someone who had come in for prayer with us a few months ago. They had been going through an incredibly difficult time emotionally, and at the time they’d come for prayer they were struggling a lot with confidence, so they weren’t really able to engage socially. When I saw them that morning I was completely blown away because they were doing so well! They looked amazing – so bright and connected! And they were really chatty and in great form 😃 It was a really beautiful moment of seeing God answering prayers in the most miraculous ways! They shared how they were doing so much better and they’d love to pop in to see us again just to catch us up on how they are ❤️😃 Thank You Jesus 🙌❤️

Oh, in other news, we had shared a while ago that Neil was writing a book, and that he’d got it finished. Since he finished writing it we have been praying for wisdom to know how God would like us to publish it – either self-publish or go through a publisher. Well, we think we are pretty much there with the answer to that and so hopefully in the very near future the book will be published, and that assignment will be complete 🥳🤩

We are so thankful for how God has been leading us throughout the whole of our journey with theonehundredyearsproject so far, and we’re so excited to see how He takes us forward from here. I was looking back on some of our early blog posts a while ago and I was struck by how gently and kindly God led us into living this life that He’s invited us to step in to! Particularly in the area of our finances. That was such a jump for us in our faith, and at times we felt unsure whether we’d heard God speak to us clearly, or whether we’d got it wrong. But over and over again God has spoken to us about trusting Him to be our sole provider, and every single month since we stopped drawing a wage, He has not only given us what we need, but He has been beyond generous in the ways He has blown us away with how incredible He is!!!! This week we’ve been asking the Lord for a specific amount of money that we need to pay off our credit card bill – and the lovely thing is that I don’t feel at all nervous about it. God is, and has always been, true to His word, and more extravagantly loving than we can ever fully know ❤️ And so, because of who He is, and how He has led us over these last years, I trust and have peace in the waiting ❤️
